Matt 1:22

Matthew's gospel is full to bursting with quotes from the Old Testament, as he is at pains to show how Jesus' life and death were all in accordance with prophecies which had been made long ago.
Mary would have been aware of the Messianic prophecies and here we see her, full of faith that God would use her to fulfill them!
Just an ordinary girl.
Just an extraordinary God.
